01Our 30-day guarantee
We accept refund requests within 30 days of purchase, provided the licence key has not been activated. Keys that are defective or never delivered are covered regardless of the 30 days.
This is a voluntary commercial guarantee we offer on top of your legal rights, not a replacement for them.
02What is and isn't refundable
We refund or replace
- A key that never arrived
- A key that is invalid or will not activate on a supported setup
- A product materially different from what was described
- An unactivated key, within 30 days, for any reason
We can't refund
- A key that has already been activated or redeemed
- Change of mind after activation
- The wrong edition, platform or region, where the product page stated it correctly
- A computer that does not meet the published system requirements
- Intuit services (payroll, bank feeds, live support) withdrawn from a version whose status we disclosed on the product page
The last point matters on older versions such as QuickBooks Desktop Pro 2021. Where a product page carries a version notice explaining what Intuit no longer provides for that version, buying it anyway is not grounds for a refund. The notice is there so you can decide before you pay.
The most common avoidable mistakes are buying a Windows licence for a Mac, a US edition when you need the Canada edition, or a 1-user licence when three people need to work in the file at once. All of this is stated on every product page, so none of it is refundable once the key is used. Message us before ordering and we will point you to the right edition, even if it is the cheaper one.
03Replacement instead of refund
Where a key is faulty, we can issue a replacement rather than a refund if you prefer. A replacement is for the same product, edition, platform, region and user count, unless we agree something else with you.

A refund, or a replacement key.
We may ask you to try some reasonable troubleshooting first, so we can confirm the key itself is at fault rather than the installer or the setup. Most activation problems turn out to be fixable in minutes.
05Fees and processing
There is no restocking fee. Approved refunds are issued to the original payment method within 5 business days of approval. Your bank or payment provider then typically takes a further 3 to 7 business days to show the funds. That part is outside our control.
We cannot refund to a different card, bank account or wallet.
06Cancelling before delivery
If your key has not been sent yet, you may be able to cancel instead. See our Order Cancellation Policy. The window is short because delivery is fast.
07Payment disputes
Please contact us before opening a chargeback or payment dispute, so we have a chance to fix the problem. Most cases are resolved within a business day, and a dispute takes far longer for you than a refund does. Asking this does not limit your legal right to dispute a transaction with your payment provider.
08Your statutory rights
Nothing in this policy limits rights you have under the consumer law that applies where you live. If your local law gives you stronger rights than this policy, those rights apply.
